Hooray - a bit of sewing!

Life is so very busy these days I barely get to blog, let alone sew.

So much to do, so little time.

I did manage to make a top for Mim who turns 3 next week. I had the butterfly and chandeliers fabric saved for something "nice". The pattern is from the book "Making Children's Clothes" by Emma Hardy - a really cute little book full of simple kid's patterns.

This top is actually a pajama top in the book, but I thought the style could suit day wear as well, I love the crossover style.

Not sure what happened with the sizing - I made size 4 but it's going to be way too big on her.

I added a little suffolk puff with a button on the front.

If you haven't seen me at your blog for a while please accept my apologies, I try to catch up here and there and comment when I can.

I've got that book too and my sizing was "generous" as well. Love the top (and it doesn't at all look like jammies)
Why do I get the feeling that if you and I lived around the corner from each other we would sooooo have stuff to talk about over a cuppa? Maddie has been teething here and hubby is down with gastro - definitely no sewing today :(

very sweet indeed! I love over sized tops on kids, so comfy and cute.
Yes, we are in the same boat at the moment it would seem. No sewing and barely any blogging happening here either. For once, it doesn't bother me too much as I am realising how important mothering is and quickly childhood is passing.

oh I love it.

I haven't been commenting as much either. I have decided to alternate posting and reading each night.

The week in review, phew!

The week started out well and then WOOSH, I turned around and it was almost over already. A lot of weeks are like that these days. But...
